The historic Hialeah Park Race Track is operational, but still undergoing renovations. Experts say the total cost of renovations will tally $100 million. This sum includes the cost of Hialeah, Florida flooring contractors constructing a hotel, restaurants, and casinos. Currently, Hialeah floor installation experts have only managed to repair the race track itself and make it usable for quarter horse races. However, a gambling bill passed in 2009 allows the park to operate slot machines as well. Only a portion of the park has been restored and an additional $30 million is still needed to complete this first phase of the project.
