Minneapolis is home to a very interesting laboratory. The St. Anthony Falls Hydraulic Laboratory conducts physical model studies of fluid dynamics as it applies to water and sand, and to wind. But what’s unique about the laboratory is its structure – located on an island, a main river channel runs through the building. Additionally, the top floor houses a huge wind tunnel which simulates what happens in near-earth atmospheric conditions. The laboratory is finally undergoing renovations, and will include Minneapolis, Minnesota flooring contractors bringing certain aspects up to code as well as an addition of new elevators and bathrooms. The floor installation in the Minneapolis lab will enable it to better serve its clients – major corporate and government entities including NASA and others.
