One of the city’s schools is undergoing a major renovation. However, until it’s completed, the student body of almost 3,000 students is left to have lunch without a cafeteria. While flooring contractors from Arlington, Texas work on the new cafeteria and other parts of the school, the 1,000 daily meals served by the school are eaten on the floor. The $8.6 million renovation project that includes a floor installation in the Arlington schools promises to provide the 400,000-square-foot building with a new lunchroom and kitchen that will be twice the size and have twice the serving capacity as the old ones.
